Featuring Maple Syrup
- 80 ml dried apricots
- 240 ml water
- 30 ml pure maple syrup from Canada
- 1.25 ml salt
- In a small saucepan, place the apricots and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until the fruit is very soft.
- Add the maple syrup and salt. Using a food processor or hand blender, puree the mixture, adding as much water as needed for the desired consistency. NOTE: Mixture will thicken slightly as it cools. When cool, transfer gel to a portable container you can easily access during your workout, such as a resealable plastic snack-sized bag, or reusable squeeze bottle.
